BISHOP K.D. MIXON, SR.

Born the last of twelve children, Bishop K.D. Mixon, Sr. has proven the greatness of God's ability to make the last-first. His overwhelming consistency to push his faith to the limit has been one of his greatest accomplishments. By always expecting God's best and receiving His utmost, Bishop Mixon has overcome great odds!

Being led of the Holy Spirit to start a church, Bishop Mixon knows the hardships and the abundances of true ministry. He started the ministry in October 1997 with only eight people, yet he has ministered to the needs of more than 400 members locally and abroad. Establishing The Victory Faith Church on I John 5:4 and the motto of “Raising a Standard of Excellence through the Anointing,” Bishop Mixon’s spirit of love and excellence has resonated throughout the life of the ministry.

Although being a pastor is one of his chief accomplishments, Bishop Mixon is also a husband to Lady Timberly Mixon and the father of K.D., II, Caleb and Joshlyn. Because he is a man who believes in family, his primary focus and goal is "Building God's People One Family at a Time." Working diligently to achieve this goal, he founded the Higher Faith Kingdom Coalition. This fellowship consists of various churches and ministries synergizing to assist in the needs of the community and the region. Understanding and meeting the needs of the people is one of his desires!

He became a consecrated, ordained Apostle/Bishop in April 2002. In April 2003, he joined the Evangelist Temple Churches of God in Christ, Incorporated, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. He presently serves as Interim Secretary of the National Board of Bishops.

Sought after for revivals, conferences and workshops, Bishop Mixon is a powerful preacher and teacher with a humble spirit and charismatic personality that embraces the heart of Christians worldwide.
